Starting Your Network

It can seem exciting getting started on LinkedIn. Unlike other social media. Watching your connections expand and grow can be an extremely rewarding experience. With the right outreach program, you will be connecting to people who are highly respected and influential in their fields, and will have the opportunity to connect with them on a personal level. At the moment, no other social media allows you to open doors in quite the same way as LinkedIn does. However, if you wish to get started with LinkedIn it’s important to take a step back and thoroughly think through your approach and strategy. Simply adding connections blindly will leave you exhausted, overwhelmed and confused, and on the flip side, trying to nurture the perfect relationship with each connection will also backfire.

In this course we are going to walk you through a detailed, step by step process to build an engaging, responsive, and methodical system for maximizing your chances to create meaningful connections via LinkedIn. When used correctly, our system can help you reach your ideal clients, conduct market research, and network with powerful influencers in your chosen field, whilst keeping the process simple and highly organized.

We will begin by laying out an example agenda for how your first month of putting this program into action might look, to give you a better idea of what you can expect and how our LinkedIn system is structured.

Agenda Example:

Week one:

  • Add 100 connections (daily)
  • Check new connections approved (daily)
  • Send 1st Message to all New Connections (daily)
  • Organize Replies into categories (daily)

Week two:

  • Add 100 connections (daily)
  • Check new connections approved (daily)
  • Send 1st Message to all New Connections (daily)
  • Send 2nd Message to all Connections who have not replied for 7 days (daily)
  • Organize Replies into categories (daily)
  • Respond to Hot & Warm Leads

Week three:

  • Add 100 connections (daily)
  • Check new connections approved (daily)
  • Send 1st Message to all New Connections (daily)
  • Send 2nd Message to all Connections who have not replied for 7 days (daily)
  • Send 3rd Message to all Connections who have not replied to the 2nd Message for 7 days (daily)
  • Organize Replies into categories (daily)
  • Remove all connection requests not responded to since Week one (Friday)
  • Respond to Hot & Warm Leads

Repeat Week three for as long as your chosen campaign period lasts. For example, you may have a goal to make 500 connections within a certain industry for market research purposes. You can safely continue with step 3 until you either run out of keywords from which to find new connections, or until you hit your target. (We will cover connection acquisition and keywords in more depth in a later lesson).
